Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026. This policy describes how Unitool (the desktop app) and this marketing website handle your information.

Our commitment

Unitool is built privacy-first. We believe system utility software should not phone home without your explicit consent. Your machine data stays on your machine.

The Unitool desktop app

Telemetry: off by default

Unitool does not collect telemetry, usage analytics, or crash reports unless you explicitly opt in during onboarding. If you decline, nothing is sent. If you opt in, only the categories you approve are enabled — and you can change this anytime in Settings.

Local-only data

All system information, disk health readings, process lists, notes, macros, and other app data remain on your device. Unitool does not sync data to the cloud and does not require an account.

Permitted network calls

When you use Unitool, the app may connect to the network only for:

  • App updates — checking for and downloading new versions (if you allow updates).
  • Module registry — fetching the Module Store catalog and downloading modules you choose to install.
  • Optional features — e.g., weather widget (only if you enable it and provide a location).
  • Phone Link — LAN-only communication between your devices on your local network. No cloud relay.

Unitool does not embed third-party analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or social media pixels in the app.

Crash reports

If and only if you opt in to crash reporting during onboarding, anonymized crash data may be sent to help us fix bugs. This is entirely optional and disabled by default.

This marketing website

This site (getunitool.com, when live) is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies for tracking on this site.

Cloudflare may process standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of providing CDN and security services. We do not use this data to profile visitors.

Data we do not collect

  • No accounts or user registration on this website
  • No email collection unless you contact us directly
  • No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties
  • No cloud storage of your system information
